Sims 4 dine out restaurant build

I've had dine out for a while and have never had a problem until now. However, now whenever I build a restaurant and exit build mode it doesn't save and when I edit the staffs uniforms it doesn't save either. I saw another thread with the uniform issue but that seemed to be fixed by uninstalling a mod or something but I don't have any mods. Any help would be appreciated.

    Could you try letting the game make a new game folder?
    - Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\
    - Rename the 'The Sims 4' folder to something like 'The Sims 4 old' 
    - Start the game, this will create a new folder.
    - Test the game, if it works fine start moving folders from 'The Sims 4 old' over to the new folder.
