Sims 4 Download Speed Keeps Going to Zero

I'm reinstalling my Sims 4 games (I have almost all of the current DLCs except RG Stuff and the Digital Deluxe Upgrade). There's only one problem. The download speed keep fluctuating from 2-3MB/sec all the way to 0kb/sec. It's been over two hours now and the main game hasn't even finished downloading. I have no idea why it does this, since I just downloaded other games from Origin on two days ago with no problems whatsoever. This is frustrating to say the least because the main game hasn't finished downloading after two hours and I have 9 other things to download and the speed resets to 0kb/sec every five to ten seconds.

    Do you have a router for your internet? Are there other people using computers in you location? How are you connected to the internet?

    I do have an internet router, which is in the room right next to mine. There's one other person using the a laptop (I'm using one as well) but even so, the download speed is always relatively fast (usually ranging from 12-16MB/sec. I'm connecting using a Wi-Fi connect, but again, the internet speed isn't slow. Even when using a web browser while the game downloads in the background still yields a fairly fast download time (about 9-12MB/sec).

    How much free space on your system drive? What is the other person doing? Run an internet speed test. I usually use speakeasy.net

    I have 231GB of free space. This other person only ever browses web pages, maybe watch the occasional video on YouTube. I ran the speed test. It gave me 19.06 MB/sec when I tested it.

    Do you have an ethernet cable you can temporarily run to hard wire the internet connection? Could be something interfering with the wifi. Who is your isp? What is the make of the router? First thought is your getting errors in the download.

    Thanks, this seems to have fixed it. Roberta591 must've been right with the whole, getting errors in the download thing.
