Sims 4: Error code 801

When I tried to join my Sim to go to the Scientist Career, it show "Cannot load the game. Error code 801: Please restart the game".

 

I tired to restart, uninstall and reinstall, delete the file: documents\electronicarts\The Sims 4\options(.ini) and run the game to creat a new one, lower my graphics settings to the lowest option, reduce the number of stuff inside my Sim’s inventory... But nothing help.

 

BTW, the Doctor and Detective career are working perfectly.

    @TattedScorpio86 Don't think so cause I could duplicate. Means it's saved with the save game.

    Going back to a working backup or start a fresh save (after removing the faulty mods) seems to help with this.

    I completely moved and deleted the existing sims 4 folder (mods included) and restarted my game 100% over, 5 years worth of achievements gone. So far its working alot better, once my teen ages up I'll test moving into uni. I greatly appreciate your help!!

    @TattedScorpio86 Make sure to create regular backups in the future, especially if you intend to use mods.

    Basically, before patching, create a copy of your saves folder to a safe place. You can also do it after patching but make sure not to start the game before doing the backup.

    I will definitely from now on. The fresh restart worked, my sim was able to move into uni dorms, thank you so much for your help!

    Platform:PC
    Which language are you playing the game in? English
    How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
    What is your current game version number? 1.64.84.1020
    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Island Living, Cats and Dogs, Season, City Living, Vampires, Jungle Adventures, My First Pet, and Laundry Day.
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am not sure as this has happened in my current save when loading new sims into Oasis Springs, Willow Creek, and Newcrest.
    What happens when the bug occurs? When launching a new sim after CAS, the game jumps back to the menu with all of the worlds saying "The Game Failed to Load. Error Code 801." I have relaunched and the game loads forever that I have to force close out of the game completely.
    What do you expect to see? I expect for my sim to load into their new area and be able to play without having to force close the game and launching the game through origin again.
    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
    Please describe the patch or change you made. June's patch and the recent update did not fix my error code.

    @terceiragigI I tested several families in Willow Creek and have no issues loading them

    Is it a specific Family for you ?


    How did you remove your mods and did you delete the localthumbcache file ?

    EDIT: Found one family that throws the error for me (Stack in Willow Creek). What others do you have issue with ?
