Sims 4 freezes every time I have to choose something from the sim's inventory.

So for example when gardening, sim chooses the 'fertilize' option and has a selection of fruits and whatever to choose from. I click on something and that white box just stays there in the middle of the screen. I can't click off of it, and I lose my game. And same goes for anything else like the option to 'give present' or 'give potion' the inventory box pops up. I click on something and then that is my game lost, it's very annoying and not sure why it's just decided to happen now. I haven't added anything new to the game recently. Please help! Thank you xxx

    @charljhyde  There was a patch a week ago that might have broken one or more mods or cc that you've been using.  So the first thing to try is to move your Mods folder to your desktop, delete localthumbcache.package, and see whether the game still freezes.  Don't worry about the effect of removing your cc—this is just for testing, and you don't have to save your progress.

    If that doesn't help, please start a new save and test the same functions on entirely new sims.
