My game will not work with mods since the update on June 4th!
My game opens fine, but as soon as I go into a lot, a number of things are wrong.
The red border is around my screen, as if its paused. There is nothing on the bottom part of my game, no time and pause button, sim, or needs bar. The options bar at the top right of the screen is still there, but some of the buttons are not there, and you cannot click on the ones that are there. The build mode button is greyed out, and says "This lot can only be modified in world edit" even if its a residential lot with a sim of mine moved into it. I can press manage worlds, but if I click it, it just brings me to a frozen, dark screen. The game literally works fine up until it loads my lot, worlds works fine.
I tried updating all my mods, made sure my game and origin was all up to date, and tried multiple different saves. I honestly haven't updated my game since I got it 5 months ago, because I heard of all the issues with the update. And now this happens. The only way to close it was to "force close" it on my Mac.

Take the mods out until they are updated by the creators.
This is happening to me too. It was working just fine before this new update and I have not been able to play since the update. When will this issue be fixed?

@jenroset This issue is usually caused by an outdated UI Cheats mod. Remove it or get an updated version, but please test at least once without it installed, to confirm that it is in fact the source of the error. If it's not, you'll need to test your other mods too.
This can only be fixed by the mod creator. EA doesn't put any effort into making mods compatible with the game; that's the creators' job.
@Laydawesome Again, it's usually the UI Cheats mod. Try removing that first.
I have the same problem as well all my save files where disappearing until i had nothing. I lost all my houses and characters... I tried to contact help but there no one there even during their business hours.
@yamibliss Did your saves all disappear at the same time, or gradually (which would be strange)? Have you checked Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves to see whether the save files are still there? If you're not sure what you're looking at, take a screenshot of that folder and attach it to a post.
