Sims 4 Game Keeps Freezing
Hi I have been playing sims 4 on my laptop for about a year now and no problems have occurred but yesterday I started experiencing the whole game freeze. Time stops and my sims are stuck in one spot and I can't click anything but can still move through the tabs fine. I re downloaded the game and took out all my mods and still nothing is fixing it. My other saved games are starting to experience weird issues too just not the same as this one.
@nailpop13 Please try playing in a clean game folder. Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a new folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to it yet; just test a new save. If the freezing is gone, you can copy one of your existing saves into the new folder and test that too. (Copy and paste, don't just drag and drop—that way, the original copy will be your backup, and you can freely experiment on the new one.) Leave your mods out for now. Let me know how it goes.
If the game still freezes when you're playing a new save in a clean folder, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
