Sims 4 Game Keeps Freezing

Hi I have been playing sims 4 on my laptop for about a year now and no problems have occurred but yesterday I started experiencing the whole game freeze. Time stops and my sims are stuck in one spot ...

    @nailpop13  Please try playing in a clean game folder.  Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a new folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just test a new save.  If the freezing is gone, you can copy one of your existing saves into the new folder and test that too.  (Copy and paste, don't just drag and drop—that way, the original copy will be your backup, and you can freely experiment on the new one.)  Leave your mods out for now.  Let me know how it goes.

    If the game still freezes when you're playing a new save in a clean folder, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

idk if this is a right place for me to ask for help as well since i feel its not worth for me to open a new thread about it, i have the freezing issue, BUT its a fresh install, no mods, nothing added yet.

my specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 4600G with radeon graphics, 3700Mhz, 6 core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
16gb Ram

(worth to mention if it does matter, the game is on a external hdd of 5tb)
