Sims 4 game won't launch after moving the mods folder

A few weeks ago I moved The Sims 4 folder from C: to D: as my C: storage is depleting. Accidentally, I moved the whole Document folder from C: and not just the Electronic Arts folder to D:. I followed the guide on how to move the folder from this link: Installation question — The Sims Forums

After moving the folder to D:, I can't open the game at all. The 'play' button on Origin is greyed out. I tried re-opening the game using the exe on Program Files x86 > Origin Games > TS4.exe, didn't work either. I can only open the game if a  new patch is released because the game will automatically disable the CC and Mods upon launching the game.

I decided to uninstall then reinstall the game, but now the game won't open at all. The game is running on background on task manager, but it doesn't launch at all.

Can someone help me please? Do I need to move the Document folder from D: back to C:?

P.S: sorry I posted this on a wrong subtopic, but I don't know how to move this question to it's proper subtopic because I'm a Windows user. :'( I only noticed that I posted it wrong after submitting the question.

  • @gisellegionne1  Your storage on C is definitely low, but for now, please move Documents back to C to eliminate that as the source of this issue.  Restart your computer and try to play.  Let me know whether the game runs both with and without mods.

From your screenshot, it looks like Sims 4 might have been running, or at least Origin thought it was running: those are the options you see when the game is actually open.
