Heya, I only have windows defender but I checked earlier that post about exceptions to that ransomware part but I don't even have it active so it shouldn't be that. I'm still thinking it's Origin's fault, it doesn't look normal that it's spamming that process I mentioned. I've also deleted my cache files following crinrict's website instructions, even moved out options.ini from my Sims 4 folder.
I'm starting to feel like pirating the game just to able to play it because my legal version is not launching. 😞

I can see that your graphics driver is pretty old. Please visit Nvidia.com to update it.
You have a lot of crashes with Origin. This is likely a problem with Origins cache. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
The process you wondered about is a program by QT Corporation that are used to view web content in several different programs including Origin.
- siirysiir4 years agoSeasoned Ace@jpkarlsen hey, thanks again! I've been trying to update my graphics drivers with no luck but this time I was finally able to find a working one! so yay for that. I cleared the origin caches, but still not launching. ☹️

Try doing a factory reset as described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
