Sims 4 is crashing on startup

So, recently when I have been trying to open my game it hasn't been successful. When I try to open my game through "steam", the only thing that pops up is a white screen with the blue loading circle then after a few seconds it closes. Before this I had been updating my mods and my game seemed to work fine. I've tried repairing the game, opening the game vanilla, restarting my laptop nothing has worked so far. I've done a dxdiag but I am not sure how to interpret it so I will leave it here.

  • @jenniferyoyo27  Thanks for the dxdiag, which lists a number of Sims 4 crashes but doesn't give any (useful) info about why they're happening.  To be totally clear, if you currently play with no mods or custom content present, does the game work or not?  What about if you disable your VPN?  And if you've enabled Steam's family sharing, please disable it and test again.

Yes, when I turn off my vpn and take out my mods it still does the same thing.

@jenniferyoyo27  Please try moving the Sims 4 install to a different location on your computer.  You can create a new Steam library and then use Steam to move the game there.  Afterwards, repair the game: right-click Sims 4 in your game library and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files.

Please continue to test without mods and without your VPN.
