Sims 4 keeps crashing

The gist of the matter is that I have tried every possible thing recommended in these forums to no success. I will boot up the game and it will allow me to play for maybe 5 to 10 minutes, however, if I decide to use build and buy the game freezes and crashes. I attempt to reboot after the initial crash and it proceeds to crash quicker and quicker which results in me not being able to open the game at all.

My driver up to date and I have more than enough space for The Sims 4 and all the packs, but all of sudden it is no longer working. I don't have any mods. I deleted all of those in an attempt to "fix" my game. If anyone has an advice or tips, I'm am willing to try anything at this point. Also, my PC is not old. I have barely had it a year and it was brand new equipment.

  • @theeandrean  Does the game crash even if you're playing a new save?  Please test, for comparison's sake, and let me know.

A couple other players with hardware similar to yours have reported that disabling XMP (a RAM overclock) and the CPU's turbo mode helped with crashing issues.  Both settings would be in your computer's BIOS.

Yes! Even when I make a new save from scratch it proceeds to do the same crashing.

I have looked for the XMP and CPU's turbo mode (unless they are under different names) I could not find them.

Update: I have found the two settings and changed them like you recommended. I played about four sims days in-game which is a lot further than I have ever gotten. I believe I have fixed my game. I will have to do further testing, but I think it is safe to say your method worked. Thank you so much.

Below I have linked to the two videos I watched in order to help me get my game working (just in case anyone else is having a difficult time figuring it out).
