Sims 4 keeps crashing

Make sure your pc meets the system requirements to run the game. If you have any cc or mods installed, try removing them and test out your game to see if it keeps crashing. 
I don't know much about the ea app but from what you've said, it does seem that switching to the ea app might have triggered this issue. I'm going to keep an eye out for anyone else having the same issues.

Along with with the thread says, here are some different things to maybe try, but of course be careful and make backups of everything!

• Restart your pc
• Reinstall the EA app (or uninstall it and reinstall Origin if all else fails)
• Take your "The Sims 4" folder out of your "Electronic Arts" folder and put it somewhere else in a safe place. Then launch The Sims 4 again and it should create a new folder for you. If that works without crashing, then maybe it was something in your files.
• Check all your game settings
• Do a screen recording and start recording from the time you first open up the EA app

Hopefully one of the above solves the issue! I'm better at gameplay-related issues than I am tech issues, so hopefully a tech savvy person will come along.

@Stellybelly12  I'm not sure what the point of doing a screen recording is.  The OP already explained their issue quite clearly, so we don't need to see for ourselves, and screen recording software can be demanding enough to affect how well Sims 4 runs and therefore complicate the troubleshooting process.

I have done a DxDiag now according to the instructions, does it show anything?

@AliceBjorkenstam  The Sims 4 crashes in your dxdiag aren't definitive, but they suggest the issue might be the driver for your graphics card.  You already have the newest driver, so you'd need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall.

Since that's a bit complicated, please first try playing in a clean user folder, that is if you haven't already.  It's less likely to fix these errors, but it's possible, and this is a much simpler and faster intervention.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know whether it crashes as your current saves have been doing.

If you do get another crash, it's time for a clean uninstall and reinstal of the graphics driver.  Here's how to do it:

Hi, thank you for the tips! It seems to work when I move out the entire Sims 4 amp out of electronic arts and relaunch it without any saves, i played it for a while and i had no problems. However as soon as I add the saves back in the map, sims crash. What do I need to do to fix it?
