Sims 4 keeps on Crashing after update

After updating and downloading Get Famous. Sims 4 keeps on crashing and all I wanted to do is play the game. I tried getting rid of CC and mods, but it keeps on crashing.

    Clear Origin cache https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Delete temp files: open the Start Menu and type %temp%  in the Search field  or click in the Run option in the Start Menu and type %temp% in the Run field.Press Enter and a Temp folder should open. You can delete all files found in this folder, and if any files are in use, they can be skipped.

    Restart your machine.

Go in Origin / My Game Library ,right click on game icon select Repair.

My Opinion is no more important or right than yours.I'm a gamer like you, trying to help you (i'm not an EA employee).

If you want to know us or/and come up with ideas to improve the Origin platform or/and talk about anything and many more besides, you could also visit the NEW section Origin General Discussion https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/bd-p/origin-general-discussion-en

  • @Stoppy814  That happened to me also but I started playing around with the game to try to figure out ideas... here’s one that worked for me:

when you open origin go to your game library

right click the Sims 4 game and press repair

after it has repaired the game it should stop crashing

It does delete your mods it just repairs the different bugs and crashes in the game.

  • @Stoppy814 hey same when i tapp the Play button in the sims 4 start menu and try to Play it crashes ☹️
Note: i do NOT have mods and my pc is an 64 bit one so there shouldnt be a problm Right?

@ArosysBilly  Please remove your entire Sims 4 folder from Documents\Electronic Arts; you can put it on your desktop.  When you launch the game again, a new folder will be created with no content.  If you can play normally using this folder, then the issue is one or more corrupt files in your old game folder.  The most likely culprit is an outdated mod or cc item; you can test your content in batches in the new game folder to see what's causing the crash.

If you can't load a new game in a clean folder, please run a dxdiag and attach the results to a post here.

I just recieved help from EA and I removed mods and repaired the game like they told me to do

The game started running smoothly but crashed again. Maybe it has something to do with a bug in the new update? Hopefully it gets fixed soon because it's annoying.
