Sims 4 keeps starting as new game

I have a new computer and to make my game run faster I moved the electronic folder over to my "Data (D🙂" file, but it keeps reappearing in my document folder even if I delete it, and when it's there it starts as a new game. I reverted everything back to the way it was but I really need to move it to "Data (D🙂" and I don't know what to do....

Our amazing Champion @CMeki just alerted me that on Windows 10 you can change the location of where the Documents are saved.
When you go to settings on your computer, and then choose 'System' following by going to 'Storage' you can see the option 'Change where content is saved'.
In there you can change the location. It might be worth a shot of changing that, maybe the game will look at the different location as well.

  • To my knowledge The Sims 4 is stuck in Documents. You could change the location where your recorded video's and screenshots go in the options, but the game will look for your saves in Documents. And when you move that folder it will create a new one, so the ones you get over there are empty, and you'll have a clean game when you start the game with this folder.
