Cant Re-install The Sims 4

Hi everyone! Im looking for a bit of advice. I had the Sims 4 on Steam installed with multiple DLC's. One night Steam needed to update the game, and ever since then, the download failed. I thought perhaps that uninstalling the game and reinstalling it might clear any issues up, however, i seem to get to 99% downloaded and then it fails for that last percent. Ever since, I have not figured out what could be the issue. I never had any issues installing it through steam prior to this. So im honestly at a loss for what to do to get my game back up and running! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! (I have been going through withdrawal for over a week now!)
