@DawnOfAquarius11 Try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.
If that doesn't help, go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and remove options.ini. This will restore all settings, including the resolution, to their defaults. You'll then need to redo all your in-game settings.
If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

For Origin itself, it's currently using excess CPU for a number of people right now, for no apparent reason. The only fix I know of is to put Origin in offline mode before launching the game.
