Sims 4 Load Saved Game, Says Running Old Vers. I was a Pre- order Played 14 Hours!

I lost 8 hours of gameplay, I am so frustrated. What are they doing to reverse this issue? My original saved game is there but when I did "manage worlds" and created a new sim family to enter the neighborhood to add to the storyline I moved my first sim in with them and now it has reverted back and the family isn't in the town, yet when I click on gallery it shows that I created the second family. 8 hours down the drain.
