Sims 4 missing household

@kensonwilliams  We could try to investigate why this happened, but it's reasonably likely that too much of your sims' data is gone from the save for them to be recoverable.  Luckily, you can probably just load a backup version of this save, and you may get the household back while only losing a little bit of progress.  Here's how:

It's a good idea to make regular backups of your saves folder, or at least the saves you want to preserve, before doing anything else.  If this happens again, or you run into another issue whether in-game or on your computer, you'll be able to restore the backup with no harm done.  I'd suggest making a backup now, before doing anything else, and storing it on an external drive or with a free filehosting service, just something that's not on your computer itself.

Thank you for the response! I do have backups of my saves and I'm just so confused because everything from the last saved game was still there, looking good, except for my household, which is just missing? Like huh?? This just sucks. I've tried recovering each save, I've tried repairing and updating the game and removing my mods. I've even went into my folders and spent hours removing individual saves to see if any of them are corrupt and I've just lost hope. Super frustrating.

@kensonwilliams  So even the backup saves don't show your active household?  That's pretty strange.  If the sims are in Other Households, you could try moving them back to a house.  And if you use mods or are willing to try, you might be able to find the sims with MCCC and bring them back.  But that's all assuming there's enough data to recover the sims, which isn't certain at this point.
