Sims 4 Mods and Saves not available after moving installation location

Hi,

since the newest update my mods haven’t been working properly. Normally, my Electronic Arts folder was installed together with Sims 4 on my normal Computer. Since I don’t have any storage anymore, I had to move the folder to my drive. I’ve deleted Sims 4 and reinstalled it, making sure the installation location is set as that specific electronic arts folder on my drive. After it installed, it still says it’s location is on my drive, but when I open the game I have no save files and mods. When I go to documents on my computer, where my electronic arts folder used to be, it appears again everytime i start the gamd, although i deleted the folder. And there’s no mods and save files on that folder, so I guess my Sims is still connected to that old folder instead of the folder in my drive, although it says it is connected to the one on my drive?? I don’t get it, what do I do

  • @mutsucc  From your description, it sounds like you moved the Electronic Arts folder elsewhere but didn't take any other steps.  Is that the case?  If so, you'll need to create a symbolic link to tell the game where to look for that folder:

Separately, if your game is installed in the same location as your user files are located, those need to be separated.  The Sims 4 user folder can be almost anywhere, but it should NOT be in the same place as the game's program files, as in, what the EA App installs.  If you need help sorting this out, let me know.
