I managed to launch a new game, and it did work. However, when I tried to get back into the game this morning, the same problem occurred. I ran the dxdiag in my computer and I have attached it within this new post. Honestly Im stumped as to what is happening with my game.
@shiningvioletsim There are a few different kinds of errors in your dxdiag. Some of them are for Edge, so it's a good idea to start by running a couple of checks on your Windows system files. Here's how:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
If sfc says it found corrupt files and was unable to repair some of them, stop here and let me know. Otherwise, restart your computer and try to play again. If it doesn't work, please disable Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.
If that doesn't help either, please clear Origin's cache and then uninstall it "the hard way."

Restart your computer, reinstall Origin, and try to play. If that doesn't work either, please run another dxdiag.
As soon as I ran the command, an error popped up. It was
Error: 740
Elevated permissions are required to run DISM.
Use an elevated command prompt to complete these tasks.

After the scan, the message that came up was "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." Once I did this, I tried to open the game and it did not work. I also cleared Origin's cache, logged back in, and the game is still appearing as a white screen.
@shiningvioletsim The DISM error usually means that someone accidentally opened the regular PowerShell or Command prompt, rather than the one with (administrator) in the name. Without the elevated permission of running it as an admin, the scan won't proceed.
It's a good idea to run DISM for the sake of being thorough. Since sfc didn't turn up any issues though, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Instead, please clear Origin's cache and uninstall it "the hard way."

Restart your computer, and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. Then test, again in a clean folder.
If that doesn't help, the next step would be to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver for your integrated graphics chip. HP makes this more complicated than it needs to be, especially the part about someone who doesn't own the computer finding the correct download page. Rather than having me guess which page is for your laptop, please go to this site:

Enter your laptop's serial number, choose your OS (Windows build 1909) if necessary, and you'll see the full driver download page. Please link it for me, so I can compare it to the drivers listed in your dxdiag. There isn't any information specific to your computer on that page; it's just the list of drivers for your model laptop.
