Sims 4 notebook not recording

In my Sims 4 game, my notebook is not recording most of the info. she gets. My Sim fishes a lot and gardens constantly and there are only a few entries recorded for those subjects. She is at the top of the Scientist career and has discovered many inventions and serums, but only 2 inventions are listed and only a few serums. I want to have her become a detective, but don't want to start that until the notebook is working properly. I would also like to see more info. about all of her plants. It often says that she has added something to her notebook, but it never shows up.
