@CamoBugg0328  When you bought the game through Steam, did you uninstall the Origin version and reinstall through Steam?  The reason I ask is because my next suggestion would be to uninstall Sims 4 and install it into a different folder, one you've newly created.  But if you installed through Steam, the game's program files would have automatically been installed to a different location than the one that was used when you installed through Origin.

By the way, please double-check that you don't have an antivirus running in the background; you'd be able to see it in the Task Manager's background processes list.  Many computers come with one pre-installed, and it can run even if you never formally activate it.

I should have asked before, but please also let me know whether you're getting the exact same error message as the one the original poster had.  If not, please post a screenshot of the error you see.  And let me know whether you use OneDrive.

Okay here is the information I have.

The image attached is the error message screenshotted.

When I bought the game and installed through steam, I had already uninstalled the game and Origin beforehand.  Upon opening Steam, the game required I install Origin again.

When opening task manager after opening the game with the error it says I have Antimalware running in the background.  When I attempt to end the task it says that it is unable to end task

@CamoBugg0328  If the antimalware service has the same logo as other Windows services, it's from Windows, and it's fine.  If it looks like something else, open the Task Manager's Startup tab and see if you can find a third-party antivirus on the list.

For the error itself, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing in that.  Make it a local account, as in, don't sign into Microsoft, and don't sync with any other services you normally use.  The username should contain only letters and numbers, no special characters or accents.  You'll be able to sign into Steam and Origin and shouldn't have to redownload anything.

Before trying to play, right-click on the Sims 4 icon in your Steam library and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files.  This is the equivalent of a repair in Origin, and it's worth doing just to be thorough.  Let me know whether you can actually play afterwards.
