Sims 4 running high memory in task manager

My Sims game appears to be running at a ridiculously high memory in my task manager, this only started after I updated Sims I believe (unless I just didnt notice previously) to 1.96.365.1030 (03/15/2023 update for Infant Base Game update and bug fixes). Can anyone help as to why this might be or what I can do??

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz, Windows 10, Sims4 version 1.96.365.1030

Iv tried restarting many times both pc and the game, always very high, tried lowering graphics to lowest too and doesnt do anything, should I uninstall and reinstall it? Thanks

  • @HextraHunt  Sims 4 itself is only using 32% of your CPU and 2 GB memory, both of which are perfectly normal.  The question is what else is eating CPU and RAM.  To find out, you can click on one of the headers to sort the list of processes by use of that resource, so you'll be able to see what else is requiring the extra power.  Let me know what you find.

You can also try setting the EA App to run in offline mode.  This will cut off your access to the Gallery but won't otherwise affect Sims 4, and it's a useful test even if not a long-term solution.
