Sims 4 slow loading times and delayed actions on SSD

Question

Hi everyone,

I'm playing the sims 4 on a laptop and i'm finding my loading times to be quite ridiculous.
I've played the sims on this laptop before and it ran much smoother, then i started messing about with CC and the loading times started getting really crazy (like 5 minutes to start).

So after that i deleted my entire mods folder, cleared all the caches, deleted the sims and origin completely and reinstalled all of those.
Now when i start the game it's quite slow at loading (for an SSD at least) and when i click on a sim there is a delay before i see the options.

My current loading times are:
1:20 startup0:18 pressing play --&gt; select household0:33 Loading a (small) household

Does anyone know a fix for this?

I am running from the Nvidia GPU, it's not so much frame drops and lag, it seems to be loading times especially.

How are the times when you start a new game?

As in deleting my old savegame? Still just as bad.

It could just be that your computer isn't up to the task. Even with SSD it needs other components to function it's best.
