Sims 4 stuck on save screen

My Sims 4 is stuck on the saving screen. Every single time I try to save my game with just pressing save it will stay like that for literally days and I end up having to force close it with nothing saved. And it has happened a few times at this point i'm not sure what the problem is. I am in the Windows Insider Program under the Dev Channel meaning if I wanted to go back to the current Windows I'd have to erase my entire laptop and back it up on a USB etc. So I'm trying to avoid having to do all that and the problem with the saving has just started happening recently. DOes anyone have a solution for this? It's so entirely frustrating not being able to save my game
