sims 4 unrecognized graphics card

I've never had this issue so Idk what to do. The Sims 4 runs so slow to the point where it's unplayable. I don't know anything about graphics cards. I've searched and read forums but I still couldn't figure it out. It's a brand new laptop I just bought it two days ago. Please help.

    Okay, it looks like you are using an Intel UHD Graphics 620. The Driver date is 2/27/18, so it's likely outdated.

    I did a short Google search, and found Intel has an updated graphics driver here. You can use this to update your graphics card. (The link goes to the Intel Support Website for your specific Graphics Card.)

    (Note: If you're not comfortable updating drivers, I advise you to have an experienced computer user to perform the driver update.)

    You may have to reboot the computer thereafter.

    Hopefully updating the driver resolves your issue.

  • Hi;

    Before you can be helped further, I need to ask a few questions so I know what I'm advising towards:

    - What Operating System are you on? (Windows 10, Mac OS/X, etc.)

    - What type of Graphics Card are you using? (You can find this information in your Dxdiag file. If you do a search on your computer for "Dxdiag" you can have it generate a report; it should provide your graphics card information.)

    Most of the time this sort of issue is caused by a graphics card not being updated; if you have a new computer, it's possible that just hasn't been done yet.
