trouble downloading update for the sims 4, the download for the update goes thru and before it will finalize a pop up comes saying, We couldn't access your system resources and that I need to check my security permissions are configured correctly.

Please also let me know what antivirus you use. If it's a third-party program (not Windows Defender), try disabling it, temporarily, to see whether the update goes through. You can also try repairing with the antivirus disabled—this should give you the fully updated version of the game-
I'm currently having this problem, I just downloaded EA app on Mac because Origin wouldn't let me play unless I changed it. Did anything work for you? I've tried clearing cache, moving the sims 4 downloads, changing my security settings in the EA help center, and I deleted a "mac cleaner" I had just in case it had anything to do with that "antivirus" thing, but I'm not sure it did; nothing seems to work
