Sims 4 update stuck on preparing

Hi. I'm on PC. and Ive tried SO many things now.  removed the cache on the app, restarted the computer, EA app online and offline, Ive tried to cansle the download of the update, and even trie...

I am not technical. And I'm struggling to launch Sims 4. I've deleted cache, restarted my computer. Nothing is working. I've looked at all the support on YouTube, but right-clicking this, that, and the other isn't working. It's bad that you can spend a lot of money on these games and then they fail to work.

    I have also have the same issue and nothing has work sadly and its been like this after the recent update and the purchase of the sims 4  rent game.
