sims 4 update
I’m so confused about what’s happening with ea. I can’t even open it without it talking about an update. And so when I went to “update it “ it said everything is updated. I just want to play simsss. ...
@skulllil Try repairing the game. If that doesn't help, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.
I Uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled it then I repair the sims 4 but it still says the same thing. I must update the game and to go to game hub to update even tho it is updated. I am on pc windows 11.
@SkullxLily I'm guessing you're the same person as the original poster? At any rate, if you use a third-party antivirus, please disable it, temporarily of course, and clear the EA App's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
Then repair the game again. Don't reenable your antivirus until you've tested Sims 4 once. As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.
If that doesn't help, please go into [install location]\The Sims 4\Game and delete the Bin folder. You'll need to close the EA App and kill the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager first. Once you've deleted the folder, repair again.
If that doesn't help either, please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete GameVersion.txt. That shouldn't be causing this issue, but since the file does store the game version, it's worth trying.
