SIMS 4 used purchase product code doesn't work

I recently purchased the Sims4 "used" from Amazon.  I tried to install this game on my PC and got a message from Origin that the product code has already been used.  Is there any way I can just get a new product code?  Also, why doesn't EA tell people up front that you can't resell this game because of the one use product code?  I wouldn't have bought this game used if I'd known this.

    You will need to get a refund from the seller. It's been like that for a while now.

    I doubt CS is going to give you a new code but you can always try

    Game advisors can be found through live chat.

    Thank you crinrict.  I will try contacting an advisor through live chat again. I keep getting the "experiencing heavy volume or under maintenance..." thingy with live chat so my requests have not gone through with previous attempts.  I'll keep trying though.  If I can't get a new product code ( I do have proof of purchase)....then I'll certainly request a refund from the Amazon seller.  I think I also need to make Amazon customer service aware that this game should not be put on the "used" list by any seller for purchase.  Thanks again.

    Yeah, Ebay sellers have the same issue. All Origin PC games now work like this.

    Fifa is having some issues hence the heavy load on CS atm.

    How can i get my money back or take it back to target it has been about 3 to 4 months that i had this game and I really don't think I have my receipt for it  so what can i do now.

    ya i got my sims 4 from the the store and i brought it home and i stuck the 1 disc in and i got all the stuff set up and i put the product code in and it said it was already used now what kind of game company product code is already used what the fudge come on this cost me $20.00 to get this game i demand a new product code email me at [edit: email address removed] pleas and thank you.

    Hey guys, i was selling the sims 4 on ebay as the game wasnt what i thought. I paid full price for it and was going to sell it for half the price. I then noticed someone had put a posting for a £1000 for sims game to warn potential buyers that the game wont work for others after being used. I did not know this and even tho its a shame, i am grateful for forums like this as i have now ended the item b4 it was purchased! Thanks for the heads up and i think its important to note that like myself not all sellers are trying to con people, they just didn't know lol. Thanks for your help guys x
