Sims 4 user folder won't move to external drive
I need help, I've been trying to download the Sims 4 on my external hard drive and every time I launch the Sims 4 a new 'Electronic Arts' Folder generates in my documents. I even went into the EA app...
K4ndyy_ The location where you've installed Sims 4 has nothing to do with the location of the user folder, which contains your saves and other user files. This folder is always in Documents > Electronic Arts. If you'd like to move it to the external, you'll need to create a symbolic link. Here's how:
Please do NOT use the same Sims 4 folder on your external where you've installed the game itself. Mixing the program files and user data can cause all kinds of problems.
If you get an error when running the command, please list the location you'd like the user folder to be on the external as well as its current location. Here's how to find the latter:
