bobins1234 Have you tried moving or renaming the entire Sims 4 user folder yet? If not, please do so now. It's the folder in Documents > Electronic Arts that contains your saves and other user data. Moving or renaming it won't delete the data but will prevent the game from reading it, and anything else currently in that folder, so it's a useful test.
If that doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Hi, yes i have tried that, this did not work. My sims has recently been put onto an external hard drive as my laptop was running out of space so i can rename it but not move it. Will a dxdiag work if it is on an external hard drive.
Please note that i had moved it onto the hard drive before the new update and it was working, would actually launch and i had normal game play.
