Sims 4 won't launch

I recently installed the EA app and the sims 4 along with 3 packs (seasons, backyard stuff and parenthood) onto my new laptop. I cant load the game as it pops up with a window saying : TS4
_x64.exe - System error. Code execution cannot continue because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may resolve this issue. And another window saying the same thing but instead of the MSVC... not being found its : VCRUNTIME140.dll. 

I have tried uninstalling the sims and all the packs and reinstalling them. I have tried repairing the game in the EA app, I have tried reinstalling the EA app itself and restarting my laptop but nothing has worked. What do I do?
