Sims 4 won't update or reinstall at all, please help :/

Greetings. I decided to start up my sims 4 yesterday, you know, cause I felt like playing it lol. So, let's cut to the chase, the game "updated", it then decided to not update and proceed to tell ...

When you first start origin after restarting your PC, is the orange [Play] button already Dark orange, or is it bright orange?

  not sure if this is the same issue that LolHyperAngel is having. unless she too is also running OS X Yosemite
