Sims 4 Won't Update

Hi,

My Sims 4 says it needs an update but when I try through the EA app it fails at 100% saying Sims 4 is open and blocking the update.

I have tried;

Restarting my computer

Repairing the game

Putting EA in offline mode

Looking in Task Manager Sims 4 is not running in any way

It took forever for me to even get the EA app to open... I passed that issue and was met with another...

Any help would be amazing! I have brought almost every expansion, game and stuff pack. I don't want to loose this game plus I have 3260 hours...

    @Hannahjeanking1  Where is Sims 4 installed?  You can see the location in the EA App by clicking Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

    Please also list the antivirus you use, in case it's interfering here.

    And force the EA App to update.  Go here:

    C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop

    and run the EAUpdater.exe.
