sims frozen

Help!! My sims were frozen on the loading screen, I tried EVERYTHING I saw online to help. I uninstalled the game hoping the window would close and I could reinstall it but the application for my sims is still open on the loading screen and I cant redownload it back.

  • @Jasmineer23  Restart your computer, which will close any apps currently running.  You don't necessarily need to uninstall the game though, so skip that step if you haven't done it yet.

Instead, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Well, I already uninstalled it because I thought it would help. I couldn't restart my computer because my sims application was still open and I couldn't close it. so now I have sims uninstalled but an application open on the loading screen because it's still frozen. whenever I try and go back to download the game it says I don't have enough storage and I bet it's because I have a sims application running, and it won't close.

@Jasmineer23  Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), then restart your computer.  If anything is still running and blocking either of these actions, open the Task Manager, find the program, and kill it.  You may need to check the background processes tab too, for example that's where the EABackgroundService hides.

If you still can't reinstall Sims 4, please post a dxdiag.
