I have not played the game in over a month. I do see my game was updated and since the game has been updated, I can not open the game. I click launch, it will look as though it is launching, but it ill go back to the EA App screen. I have completed the below to troubleshoot
took out MODS folder
repaired the game
cleared cache
uninstalled/reinstalled app and game
Ran under as administrator
You name it, I did it. Please HELP!!
The same is happening to me. I did everything you mentioned above, except remove mods, as I do not have any of those. Can anyone help us, please
ScorchedPiano2 SallylB If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If this doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
