I’ve never had this issue before and I’ve tried everything. When I was switching between different protons I noticed there’s was an update for “proton bleeding edge debug” today and I don’t think that’s a coincidence because it was running just fine until today. I talked about this on Reddit and others are also having this issue today. Please fix this !!! :(
Same thing happening to me! I literally just got my deck at Christmas and only just got around to installing the game, getting reshade and everything set up I’m so upset! I’ve found a sort of workaround where if you install lutris you can launch the game that way, but I can’t figure out how to remap the controller because you need to launch lutris on desktop mode so it’s basically unplayable for me. They seriously need to sort this out!
No, EA need to fix their app so it updates on Linux. This isn't the job of "the Linux community" whoever they are!
I think it has to do with the EA app, it won’t launch the game. It’s happening to many people where any EA game won’t launch on their steam deck
I can’t because this game is owned by EA not Steam. I tried but they told me to contact EA support

dollnymph EA doesn't officially support Sims 4 (or any game I know of) on any flavor of Linux. So you'll need to take it up with the Linux community.
