White Screen, game unresponsive

Since the last update I've been experiencing a white screen that doesn't allow any saves, and when going into task manager it doesn't even show to force quit Sims 4 or EA. Online I checked if it was mods, so I removed all mods. I used the repair tool and did a uninstall and reinstall. At this point I don't know what else to do and if there is an update coming soon to resolve this issue.

Do I need to have the game open for this or just start the computer?

  • simmerdown111  You don't need to have the game open.  A dxdiag is a general system report, and the only section that's sensitive to timing is the Windows error reporting at the end.  So as long as you run the dxdiag after you encounter the issue, and not too long after (so other errors don't crowd out the relevant ones), you're fine.
