Sims stuck in windowed mode
The Game is stuck in Windowed Mode. I’ve tried everything but it’s stuck like this and I don’t know any other option to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated

ed7c7afa6b2792f8 I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. The game simply doesn't render at this particular resolution, as you can see from the other posts.
I just got a new gaming monitor I got a aoc gaming 34in and I got a cyber power pc desktop now the picture in sims is good the words are a little lower resolution than id like . So I went to sweating to make it higher resolution 3440x1440 and it gave the the black bars on the side why is that ? How can I stay full screen with that resolution and yes it is on full screen
I feel like if there are mods that can support widescreen menus that it shouldn't be too difficult for EA to implement.
I'm specifically talking about the first screens as you boot the game. The EA Logo and Maxis Logo are both stretched, which should be a solvable problem. The Main Menu is obviously a different can of worms, but again if a modder can do it, I don't see how the dev's can't atleast consider it.
Is it worth the time to implement? That obviously isn't my expertise, but I still think it would be a nice QoL improvement for Ultrawide users.
Skyline7284 I've merged your post with a longer thread about this issue. It's how the game has been for a while now, as far as I can tell. And since the map is only going to be a certain size, I doubt this is fixable without some distortion, or alternately enlarging the map but not showing all of it at once.
When launching The Sims 4 with an Ultrawide monitor, the resolution is not applied to the splash screen where everything is stretched (the EA Logo, Maxis Logo, Sims 4 Logo) . Additionally, it does not seem to apply to the main menu.
I did everything and it’s still the same. Also thank you for your patience.
@BeeamerrBoyy Switch to 2560x1080 in-game, quit the game, restart your computer, load Sims 4 again, and then let me know whether you can switch to fullscreen mode or if you're already in it. If you can't switch to fullscreen, or doing so changes the resolution to something else, cancel the change and try using windowed fullscreen instead. Let me know the results and we can go from there.
Yes it does give me the option to switch and whenever I do it just stays windowed, and yes I would love to do more testing.
@BeeamerrBoyy Does the game give you the option to switch its resolution to 2560x1080? Please try it if so.
It's possible that the worlds menu is a special case: not supported properly for widescreen, or not able to stretch properly to fill the screen when the resolution doesn't match. That would take some more testing that you may or may not want to do, but the important thing is that (now at least) the rest of your game looks like it should.
