Sims won't complete tasks

My game has been rendered unplayable after the recent update.

They will cancel any and every interaction I give them, and will only complete tasks that they autonomously assign themselves. This applies to all sims of every age in my family no matter the task.

I deleted MCCC, repaired my game, deleted the localthumbnailchache. Nothing seems to help whatsoever. Usually I am very proficient in fixing my game on my own by troubleshooting it, but nothing is working. I hope EA can fix this with a swiftness, because I can't play my game at all whatsoever.

    I also fixed my game version to match my files. For whatever reason, it was in Chinese? I fixed that and it still isn't playable.

    GothicRocker000  Please remove your entire Mods folder if there's anything still in it aside from Resource.cfg.  You don't need to save your progress.

    If that doesn't help, please try a different, previously-unplayed household in your main save; and a fresh set of sims in a new save, with nothing added from the Gallery.  This is just for comparison's sake.

    If the new sims in the new save have the same issue, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
