Sims won't do any commands on home lot

This started a few days ago after I downloaded the MCC mod.  My sims either don't do the command prompts that I give them, just standing there idle, or it takes them a very, very long time to perform...

    puzzlezaddict​ It looks like the solution to this problem was to create a brand new save file, not bringing ANYTHING from the faulty save files, including the sims.  So I unfortunately had to try my best to recreate the features of my sims and rebuild my home in this new save file.

rebeccalreed​  Please move your sims to a different lot and see whether that helps.  Make it either a blank lot or a default EA build, nothing from the Gallery or your own library.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

    puzzlezaddict​ I moved houses and that seemed to help, and then I went and visited my old house and my sims were functioning normally there as well UNTIL I had one of my sims try to cook something.  The issue persisted in the new house as well.
