sims3package shows up for sims4 package
I noticed when organizing my mods folder earlier that all of my Sims 4 content now says that they're "sims3.package" files... I'm PRETTY sure that they're not supposed to be called that... Will they ...

It is rather impossible for them to change the name themselves. You must have mistakenly downloaded the CC for TS3. Of course, it won't work and it will also ruin your game. Delete them all.
