SIMS4 I CANNOT SELECT ANY ACTIONS

Question

the &nbsp;sims 4 was running fine for the first few hours then suddenly i couldnt make any selection, it didnt matter object or person i clicked on, the menu of the available actions would com eup and when i xlick any of the actions that i wanted to select, i would here the clicking sound the game makes when you select an action but nothing would happen, i cant make my sims do anything!!! i can select everything else like menu, notifications, build/buy menu. please help me otherwise i might just have to &nbsp;return the game because so far i have searched and searched and it seems like no one has heard of experienced the issue i am aving

Are you using mods or cc in your game ?

no, im not using any additional stuff, i literally just purchased the game one week ago today!!!!
