Some sims 4 CC isn't showing

I downloaded CC, but only like two things showed up in my game. I have skins and hair and what not not showing. Yes, they are package files, and are not sub folders, and yes they are in the Mods folder. They also show in the Main Menu, but not in the game itself. Please help. What really bothers me is that, unlike The Sims 3 you have to just wing it. When things are downloaded it's kind of difficult when theirs no symbol to tell CC from game content.
