@LonaBoom I would still suggest the tips I stated before, re: 'test game' as cc can and often does affect gameplay in a myriad of ways. 👍
ie: "if nothing but a bit of cc, could you try it vanilla, without any cc. In a 'test' game, so: 'save as' to not wreck your usual game. Redownload them from the gallery, this may strip the cc, though in the test game, shouldn't matter."
- This is to find the broken cc, and remove it, thus adding it back folder by folder until the game acts up again
You saying to remove my CC's to see if the game act more normal, let me see if that would change anything when I remove my cc's from the game, I have a small amount of cc's

Hi, @LonaBoom it seems you must be new to using cc.. yes. You remove them when experiencing issues of gameplay/or CAS. It's the first thing to do in fact.
- delete the localthumbcache.package file from your EA/TS4 folder, and
- restart a new (test) game, with NO cc.
- then find the broken cc/mod. Test the game 'each time' you add back a cc item or folder. (you can find tips here, if new to that also).
- The culprit will likely be found via the culling method, using 'Test Game" will help by not 'stripping the cc off your sims'.. More tips at my post here on maintaining your game with cc and Sims 4 Update Patches including instructions on the 50/50 method.
- Once you've isolated the cc causing the issue, do not keep it in your game, and find (if there is one) a replacement.
- Start your game again, with the original save. Having deleted the culprit cc.
SpoilerThe following flowchart is From here: Sims Wiki also there's a good guide at Carls Sims Guide to find brocken cc/mods
SpoilerSadly, there is no short cut to finding broken cc (& mods) I'm afraid, it's up to the artist of particular cc & mods to keep them compatible with the game, so you need to find the culprit affecting your game. To do that, remove and cull them 50/50 to find it, there may be an updated version orit's reported as broken, so check with who made it.
Mods and CC require maintenance to keep them in your game, if the modder has not updated it after a game patch/update it may be broken (you can check via the mod tracker for reported broken, etc mods). The process of culling & removing it, to find the broken mod is the only option though, you'll find it won't be 'all of them' but a few or even just 'one'..More tips here, if you're still experiencing issues.
SpoilerThere is a step by step here on Clearing Cache Files (you can also move it to the desktop instead of deleting if you want to be on the safe side).

- LonaBoom5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Sashas0nic sorry my reply to you was late , I'm not new to CC's I create them myself , I'm still having little issues here and there after removing them. I didn't understand clearing what you was saying because normally make-up and hair don't cause major problems like that in the sims game. I've been downloading CC's into games I play for years starting with the sims 1 game.
- LonaBoom5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Sashas0nic Some of the strange behaviors are still happening in the game after removing the CC's.
A sim drinking coffee but every time get a cup of coffee she get in the tub looking stressed ( this sim having nothing to be stressed about because she don't work and she married with one child and this started happing before the new patch and pack )
Now the strange behaviors that is still happening without the CC's are upset sim that have nothing to be upset about and this would be the same sims that was missing a trait.
Another sim who seem to be younger then her own daughter which is strange I found that yesterday.
My sim doing repeated animation as the other sims in the dorm using the bathroom, they would go into the toilet stalls and come out repeatedly over and over again until I had my sim travel somewhere else to use the bathroom.
I haven't checked for traits missing but I will check today once I log on, because normally I play for a long time before checking and that is when traits start missing.- Sashas0nic5 years agoSeasoned Ace
Hi again, @LonaBoom Yes, am aware you make cc as you did mention that point.
However, cc is a common game-breaking issue at times, so cannot be ignored all the same.
In the spoilers above, I have outlined many steps to take including: clean boot, and other troubleshooting steps, please make sure to try those also.
If you are still experiencing issues, please post a copy of your dxdiag for someone to decipher.
how to:
- dx diag once repairing your game.
There is also an ongoing 'random issues' thread, if all the above ideas, including troubleshooting tips do not work..
Hope this helps,
