TAB camera doesn't work
Hi everybody. I tried locking the camera on the sims 4 on my laptop using ctrl+5-9, and then pressing the coresponding number. Didn't work, tried everything to fix it. any advice? I really need that feature :(

Marionita88 Clicking ctrl-5 sets a camera position, but it doesn't specify Tab mode, if that's what you're trying to do. I don't even know whether it works in Tab mode. Once you've set the camera position, simply clicking the number should center the camera there; you don't need to keep clicking ctrl. And in fact, you may be overriding your already-set position.
If I've misunderstood what you're trying to do, please explain further.
That is the problem - i set with ctrl, and then press the number and nothing happens. Tried everything to solve it :(
Marionita88 Try deleting the VideoCameraStates folder in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Then set a camera position with ctrl-5 and see whether it works. Alt-5 would clear the position in case you want to experiment multiple times.
If that doesn't help, close the game and the EA App and make sure the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager's background processes list. Open [install location]\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res and delete VideoCamera.ini. (I think it's in the res folder, but it may be directly in Bin.) Then repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair), delete teh VideoCameraStates folder again, and test.
