I used to be able to fix this by double clicking anywhere on the screen which was actually extremely annoying because it'd happen to me quite often. However this time (I'm currently playing) it won't stop scrolling and nothing I do will stop it even when I pause the game or pull up the game options. The game would do this even before I had all my cc's, mods, and expansion packs.

I am still having the same problem. I have nothing attached to my laptop. I do have a lot of CC but I couldn't pin point the CC that's causing the problem. I am using my laptops touch pad and my operating system is windows and i have intel i7.
Along with the endless edge scrolling once all of my icons for build mode and mange worlds disappear and I cant interact with my sims at all and i cant save.
My game is up to date and I only have Seasons, Get to Work, Parenthood, Laundry stuff, Get Together, Cats & Dogs, and City Living.

does it work if you remove all your custom content for testing purposes ?
