the game won't start/ something went wrong with repair

well, according to everything, I had a problem that I could not start the game, when I tried to do so, it just said that the game is running. I have a Windows 8 PC, antivirus (according to everything, some people had problems with it), after yesterday's update I played and everything was fine, today the game didn't want to open, I also have it connected with Steam.i signed out of steam tried to launch game through ea app nothing, i signed out of ea app tried to open game through steam nothing.then I made a big mistake, I deleted the game from steam, which I didn't know it would delete game from ea app.so I reinstalled it in the ea app, it didn't help, I installed it again on steam, it didn't help, and now the ea app wants to repair the game, but there is always a problem, "try it again" will say and it still doesn't work. I also thought about uninstalling the whole game, but I don't think it would help. is there any way to uninstall the ea app and use only steam or try something other like instantgaming.com. I don't know what to do, please help. and I tried the old trick, I downloaded the origin to see if it helps, it only downloaded the last 4 kits and that was it.

@andrejklimo16  Please move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, create a new admin Windows account and try playing in that.  If you get the option to link it with your Microsoft account, say no.

  • @andrejklimo16  If you want to run Sims 4, you'll need the EA App.  Both the Steam and Epic versions require the App to be running in the background when the game is open.  These and Origin/the EA App are the only legitimate sources of Sims 4.

For the issue itself, please uninstall Sims 4 and the EA App, reinstall the App, and install Sims 4 through whichever platform you want to use.  If you own any content in Steam other than the base game, you'll need to run it through Steam to get access to that content.  If you only own the base game, I'd suggest installing through the EA App just to keep things simpler, but a Steam install should also work.

Once you've reinstalled the game, let me know whether it works, and if not, what error you see when you try to launch it.

thank you very much for the advice, in the end I uninstalled the ea app, sims, stream and origin, installed the ea app, installed the sim, I only had the base game, so I installed the origin, it downloaded all the packs and everything works now, I hope it will, it's just that it changed my language to English, but that's not such a big problem, thank you
