The latest update deleted my save file

So the newest update was done and I wanted to game with the family I have had and I have used to do the event with. 
Well that whole family and hours of gaming it just gone into thin air. 
Nothing.... Whole family disappeared and then also possibility to do the event for the 4th week. 

What am I suppose to do now?

I feel like everytime there is a new update something goes wrong. 
The birthday update totally broke the whole game and I had to do another user for my computer to run it and now this.... what is next? 
I am starting to feel like I should just delete the whole game because if it is going to be like this with every update....
